What We Believe

Here are some "reader's digest" versions of what we believe and why.
Who we are, and who we are not.

I did not create this page for the sake of argument. I will not argue about the Word of God. If someone has a sincere question, I will do my best to answer. I don't want to come off as "pushy" or as a "know-it-all". I am far from knowing it all but I feel since God is the center of our lives, I am leaving out the most important part of my life if I do not share what we believe. If you choose to read, thank you, and if you choose to disagree, please do so in silence if you do not have a sincere question or concern. If you can show me (with scripture) why you think I should believe otherwise, please do so in a respectful manner. I want my blog to be positive and encouraging. Again, thank you for taking the time to read and be a part of my life. :-)
I truly do appreciate each and every one of my readers and followers.

First and foremost we believe that the (KJV) Bible is the infallible Word of God. We believe that it was written by many men whose hands were led by God to write how we should live our lives here on earth. The Bible is very much like a novel that can be read from beginning to end. It is also a love story between God and His church (people). Unlike other books, the Bible can be read multiple times and one can still learn something new from it daily.

We are Christians.
Some may think we are Jewish because we wear head coverings/veils while praying, reading the Bible or even speaking of the things therein.

We are not a cult.
Some people have thought that we are part of a cult because we stopped attending organized churches/religion. We used to be a part of the United Pentecostal Church organization and attended Apostolic churches. Through much, much prayer, fasting and waiting on the Lord, we were led to leave the denominations and live for God the best way we know how on our own. We found too many errors within the churches that we could not be a part of.

We are human.
This may seem silly to mention, but I have a point. We know, of course, that we are human. We are fallible. We are capable of making mistakes. Some people take one look at us (our attire usually scares them) and think we have the "holier than thou" mentality. We do not. I would never judge anyone by their lifestyle choices or who they are. Yes we are to judge with righteous judgement, meaning we are to decipher right from wrong. John 7:24- "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgement." You will never see us point a finger at anyone or condemn anyone to hell. That isn't our place to judge someone's eternal fate. I also have a testimony about how I came to live for God. I can share that later.

We are not "religious".
We don't have "rituals" or traditions that we created and say to be from God.

We are Spiritual.
We are led by the Holy Spirit = God. We will not (try not) to make decisions unless we feel completely led by God to do so. We try not to act on emotions or our "fleshly" desires.

We are not Trinitarians.
We believe there is only One God = Jesus Christ was God in the flesh.
1 Timothy 3:16- "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

We do not believe in "sprinkling" as baptism.
We believe in full immersion baptism.
Acts 2:38- "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Jesus himself was baptized. (By John)
Matthew 3:16- "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water.."
