Oh body, why do you ail me so?

For the past two days I haven't been able to eat without extreme pain in the upper part of my abdomen and it hurts all the way down two my lower abdomen. It's been very painful to walk and even drive. I went to urgent care yesterday and the Dr said I have a bad bladder infection. She advised me to be seen at the hospital to rule out appendicitis. So my husband left work and took me right away.

Waiting for test results took over four hours. We didn't get home until after 10pm. They ruled out appendicitis so that good. I'm hoping the bladder infection is the only thing going on.

I have to take antibiotics for ten days. I may have to try broth and crackers so I can have something in my stomach. I was able to eat a blueberry waffle without syrup just so I could take the meds. (I had to mark one with a "p" because p stands for pain and I don't want to take more than one pain pill a day)

Anywho, on a lighter note, we got our first two squash from our garden the other day!

This Greek yogurt is the best! And it was on sale for 2.99!
(It isn't very healthy, but it sure is tastey! Moderation is key.)

My husband and I have decided to run the 4th of July 5 mile race this year! I'm so excited to have something to train for that's just around the corner! He's never ran more than 3 miles so I'm looking forward to his
first five miler.

This post is ending here..I am fighting a nap and the nap is winning.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!!

Have you ever had a bladder infection?

Do you like Greek yogurt?

  1. I am sorry you have been in so much pain! I had a bladder infection once, that was a result of being on antibiotics for too long, I didn't have the stomach pain like you had, but it was still miserable. Ironically, I had to go back on a different kind of antibiotics to get rid of it. But I remember I was feeling much better after 24 hours! Hopefully you will too!
I'm jealous you already have squash. We are a bit behind most places around the country here, I have planted my seeds, and I do have a few leaves poking out of the ground, but I am a couple months away from seeing the fruits/veggies of my labors:) Enjoy!

    1. Our garden is growing quite nicely..although we lost almost a whole row of green beans to a hungry gopher!
The squash in the picture were part of the last meal I had over two days ago... :-/
I'll post some photos of our garden soon.

  2. I hope you're feeling better! This sounds so painful :( The zucchini from your garden look great! I'm hoping to finally plant things this weekend. And that's great that your husband is going to join you for the 4th of July race.

    1. Thanks! I'm finally starting to feel better. It's been about five days since it all started.
Gardens are fun but a lot of work fighting off pests and bugs!

  3. I hope you feel better. bladder infections are the worst! So painful. I've been very prone to them since I was 5. I'm so happy your husband is running with you! It's such a great thing to experience together.

It was nice running the 5k with him last year so I'm sure I'll be fun running five miles with him. :-)
