I can come up with a long list of excuses as to why I changed my mind but the truth is, I just don't want to right now. I like the idea of completing those races some day. One of my favorite quotes is "ya gotta have the want to." And well, I don't have the want to.
So with that being said, I do want to have some planned workouts during the week and get this flabby body toned up. Thanks to Chaitali and her motivating posts about her active weekly recaps, I want to plan my workouts for the next thirty days. That may sound like a long time but for me, I know thirty day plans work.
Thanks for the motivation!
I'm going to do a series of Jillian's 30 Day Shred, Killer Buns N Thighs, and Insanity. I'll also do 20-30 minute runs in between the workout days. I already printed out a calendar and have completed two days! 28 to go!
Gotta get rid of those "heybabies".
I love watching our sunflower grow!
I had some not-so-healthy lunch from Costco today so by this afternoon I was craving a healthy snack. Cucumbers, cherry tomatoes from our garden and zesty Italian dressing hit the spot!

Well, I guess that's all for today. Have a nice evening everyone!
What's your favorite healthy snack?
Do you have a weekly workout plan?
Do you stick to it?
Ha ha... I've never heard of it called "hey babies" before! Sadly too descriptive. And I'm glad the weekly recaps spurred an idea :) I can't claim to have come up with the idea. But I kept reading how important it is to have a log of your running and working out and I figured that I might as well keep that log online as well as anywhere else. I look forward to hearing about the workouts. Several people have mentioned the insanity workout but I'm still not sure what it is.

DeleteI see quite a few people who post about planned workouts but yours is the main one I read :-) and it really kept reminding me I need to do something similar.
Insanity is a bunch of workouts that are pretty intense and you can choose to do 30 days or 60 days. The workouts go from 30-45 minutes. Which I like because something like p90x takes an hour or more a day. I just don't have time to workout that long. So 20-30 minutes a day is what I'll stick to because I know it works.
I think having at least a general plan is crucial to success! Good for you for declaring no race training for now, if you aren't feeling it then you shouldn't do it! (:
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteAnd thanks for stopping by!
It feels good to have a plan! I'm already done with day three, looking forward to day 4! :-) I know I'll feel so good when I'm on day 30 and hopefully I'll be a bit stronger too!
